FrontPage® 2000 How to - Tips and Tricks

Q. How do I Use Web Folders?

A.

Web Folders, a new feature in FP2000, are simply "shortcuts" to web servers, local or remote.

To create a Web Folder:

  1. Open My Computer.
  2. Double Click on Web Folders. The Wizard will start.
  3. Enter in the location of your web (ex: http://www.xyz.com) or sub web (http://www.xyz.com/subwebname)
  4. Give the folder a name.

To use a Web Folder

  1. Open FrontPage 2000
  2. Choose File | Open Web
  3. Choose Web Folders
  4. Select the name Web Folder you created and choose Open.  Note, sub webs are denoted by folders with little globes on them.  Double-click to open them.
